Evil Onion and a Self Portait

You have to wonder what is wrong with me.

This was my final exam. We had to bring in things for a still life that interested us. I brought my bathroom mirror, a Clementine, an apple, a butter knife and an onion. This is what it turned out to be.

The truth of the matter is that this is a very old joke between a friend and I. For some reason, in our freshman year, I decided to draw comics about us having misadventures. This included a trip to the movies and the supermarket. Not too exciting, but the strips were hilarious. (*bloodied screaming in the background* "You could have left her one eye!" "The sales bitch was out of LotR tickets; if I don't get to see pretty man elf, neither does she.") There was one thing that was in every comic... an onion with a smiley face on it.

Casey (the friend of mine) supposedly carried it everywhere and throughout the timeline of the comics, I become convinced it is evil. One day is stabs my darling apple (a fruit I adopted because I felt left out) in the head with a knife. The onion was indeed evil, so I drew angry eyebrows on it.

And now that I have confused you/ destroyed all respect you have for me... off I go.

(I really think I should redo that comic sometime... I LOVE the Clementine's face!)
