True, it's childrens literature, and its short and easy. But it's also fun. And creepy. And has characters that are just enjoyable.
And it's Niel Gaiman.
That being said, you should probably read American Gods too. Not probably. Read American Gods. Now.
Remember when I said I don't read fantasy? Well, this author would be one of my two exceptions. Give him a go and you'll see why.

Actually, I've enjoyed all of his books. Stardust is underrated and Neverwhere is one of the most original 'epic quest' books I've ever read.

A bad time? No...there's no such thing as bad. Or time, for that matter.

Reality is overrated.
...most of the time.
Oh well, I guess I'll survive.
Gaiman is <3. Probably the person I'm most fannish about, not that people would know it, unless they start me on the subject.
Some day I'll get Neverwhere-the-TV-series no matter how bad they say it is. Yessss.
And childrens literature is surprisingly good most of the time. I have a soft spot for it I guess. Sure, most of the time the plot isn't that hard to figure out, but it just seems so much more imaginative to me, and I get to avoid those romantic subplots I just don't care about, They're so boring if they're just there because all the others write it like that. Blarh.
Wheee, Gaiman, <3!
